Former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster Blasts Trump’s Peace Deal in Afghanistan

Retired Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster has come out against peace in Afghanistan, arguing that any sort of peace agreement with the Taliban should be rejected, and troops should keep dying in Afghanistan forevermore to enrich the military-industrial complex.

“What we’re doing is an utter disaster and we and the Afghan people, sadly, may have to pay a much higher price as a result,” McMaster said during a recent webcast hosted by Arizona State University. “The Afghan people don’t want this.”

McMaster is a dyed-in-the-wool neoconservative who wants endless war in the Middle East so his defense contractor benefactors can turn the blood of fallen American soldiers into obscene profits. He is angry that Trump’s new national security advisor, Robert O’Brien, has said that troop levels in Afghanistan will be reduced to 2,500 by next year.

McMaster is especially peeved that the U.S. is in talks with the Taliban, who have been one of the bogeymen used by Pentagon warmongers to keep the U.S. in a state of fear so the bombs can keep dropping without end.

“You know what the Taliban negotiators are saying to the Afghan [government] negotiators right now?” he said. “They’re saying, ‘Hey, we beat the world’s greatest superpower, who are you to negotiate with us? You have nothing to bring to the table.’”

McMaster invoked the canard of feminism and women’s rights to justify the continued U.S. occupation of Afghanistan.

“What does power-sharing with the Taliban look like?” he said. “Is that mass executions in the soccer stadium every other Saturday? Is that every other girls school bulldozed?”

McMaster spread conspiracy theories with no basis in reality in order to lobby against U.S. troops being brought home.

“Al-Qaida and the Taliban are completely intertwined,” he said.

In addition, McMaster continues to peddle lies about Russian collusion, showing that he is a shameless liar and propagandist for the deep state.

“He is aiding and abetting Putin’s efforts by not being direct about this,” McMaster said about largely nonexistent Russian electoral manipulation attempts. “This sustained campaign of disruption, disinformation and denial is aided by any leader who doesn’t acknowledge it.”

“Russia is the primary problem in this area,” McMaster added. “This is why I think the president has to be much stronger in condemning this effort to really reduce our confidence in who we are as Americans.”

President Trump has pushed to curtail the U.S. empire but has been constantly thwarted due to his poor handling of personnel, as Liberty Conservative News has frequently noted:

After announcing a $4 billion rescission to halt foreign aid mostly to the globalist United Nations, President Donald Trump has done a complete reversal after consulting with Congressional swamp rats and neocon globalists within his administration.

The fiscal hawks in the Trump administration have lost once again, and they are placing the blame on Congress for convincing Trump to do the wrong thing and reverse the cuts.

“The president has been clear that there is fat in our foreign assistance and we need to be wise about where U.S. money is going,” a senior administration official said. “Which is why he asked the administration to look into options to doing just that. It’s clear that there are those on the Hill who aren’t willing to join in curbing wasteful spending.”

However, it is more likely that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin were more influential in convincing the the President to reverse course. According to a Politico report, these neoconservatives got into Trump’s ear and tricked him into believing that the foreign aid cuts would hurt national security and alienate Democrats before upcoming negotiations over a shutdown deadline.

Globalists who are opponents of Trump’s ‘America First’ mandate are doing victory laps because of the President’s capitulation.

“A huge shout-out to Secretary Pompeo who — for the second summer in a row — brought his swagger and fought for his department alongside strong bipartisan leadership in Congress,” said Liz Schrayer, who works as head of U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, in a statement.

The promise of the Trump administration with regards to foreign policy has largely been squandered, and the president may not have another four years to turn things around.
