Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie Gohmert Deliver Letter to DC Mayor Demanding Justice for January 6 Political Prisoners

America is marketed as land of the free. There is some validity to this label. The United States still stands tall in terms of its respect for property rights, political defense of free speech, and its culture that promotes entrepreneurship.

Though all of this is relative, especially when compared to the rest of the world. Plus, several events in the past few years have forever changed the US’s otherwise pristine image.

Since the outbreak of the Wuhan virus and the government’s response after the January 6 storming of the capitol, many Americans are beginning to rethink how “free” the US is.

Earlier this week, US House members such as Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert reminded us how the US is no longer that “exceptional.”

On May 18, 2022, Greene and Gohmert hand-delivered a letter to Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to inquire about the conditions of the January 6 protestors.

Greene said that the “DC Jail is an absolute disgrace” during an interview as she was delivering the letter.

The Georgia Congresswoman added that she and Gohmert are “demanding answers and an immediate tour of the jail to conduct Congressional oversight.”

In the interview, Greene revealed that “We’ve been denied even a phone call, so that’s why we’re here today at her office to say, you need to give us a visit.”

The 21st century will be a time period in American history where the illusion of America being “exceptional” is going to quickly dissipate as the country becomes internally chaotic and the managerial state lashes out in a tyrannical manner.

The treatment of the January 6 protesters is just a sneak preview of the tyranny that is to come if liberty conservatives don’t come correct and start resisting this wretched post-national state.
