Washed up singer and actress Bette Midler posted a disgusting tweet earlier today endorsing left-wing terrorist violence against Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).
Midler posted, and then later deleted, a tweet celebrating Rene Boucher, the Bernie Sanders supporter who ambushed Paul at his home in 2017. The attack has caused Paul to suffer years of serious health complications, and Paul was lucky to escape the assault with his life.
A screenshot of the Tweet can be seen here:
Midler endorsed the violent attack against Paul in response to his position in favor of peace in Syria. Paul has become one of the most outspoken defenders of President Donald Trump’s controversial troop pull-back in Northern Syria, which has caused many observers to say the US is abandoning their Kurdish allies.
Paul believes that the US owes the Kurds no more, already having spared them from being butchered by ISIS terrorists, and that it is time to bring the troops back home.
“We saved the Kurds from being beheaded and massacred by ISIS,” Sen. Paul said while appearing on ABC News’ Powerhouse Politics podcast. “They were able to win with our armament, with our Air Force, and they should be thanking us and throwing rose petals. And so, no, I’m offended by them throwing refuse at our troops. And it shows them to be ingrates.”
This prompted Midler’s rant in favor of Boucher, who caused Paul to suffer several broken ribs and bruised lung after ambushing the Senator on his property.
PJ Media noted Boucher’s rabidly leftist beliefs, which may have been the motive for his deranged attack against Paul, shortly after the assault took place:
“Boucher shared a meme from “Proud Liberals” calling Trump a liar. In May, he shared a post from the page “Impeach Trump, Impeach Pence, Keep Impeaching.” He shared a photo of the Time magazine cover with the White House turned into the Kremlin. He quoted an ex-CIA official who called Trump the “Sissy in chief.”
Boucher did not share many original thoughts, but there was this nugget from May 17: “May Robert Mueller fry Trump’s gonads.”
“Trump firing everyone who investigates him. TOTALITARIANISM,” he wrote in another May post. Then there’s this: “SUB-ZERO: The intelligence level or [sic] Trump supporters.”
Perhaps more importantly, Boucher has repeatedly supported Sen. Sanders’ proposal for universal health care. He shared a Sanders meme depicting the U.S. as the “only major country” without universal health care.
Midler’s endorsement of Boucher’s rampage demonstrates how the Left is becoming more extreme in their agenda to snuff out human liberty by force.
