The Squad is Still Alive and Well, and Will be a Headache For Both Libertarians and Liberty Conservatives

The Squad originally started out with the election of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib to Congress.

Now it has grown in its ranks to include the likes New York Congressman Jamaal Bowman and Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush.

The former has recently gained notoriety for his comments regarding how the U.S. system of capitalism functions as a form of slavery. In a previous interview with The Root, Bowman declared, “I believe our current system of capitalism is slavery by another name.”

Never mind that the more capitalistic North was considerably more prosperous than the slave-dominant South before the War Between the States. But to the leftists of the Squad, facts don’t matter. Ultimately, historically iconoclastic narratives matter more.

Here’s the thing the woke redistributionists don’t want people to know: In capitalist systems, individuals still have the ability to choose their work and determine their profession without outside coercion. However, the multicultural Left does not comprehend this. Instead, they fixate on past injustices and demand that the state come in to correct this. This form of social justice comes in the form of heavy taxation or even outright property confiscation. It’s a disaster for a society that values rule of law and economic stability.

He continued:

We’ve moved from physical chattel enslavement and physical racial segregation to a plantation economic system. One that keeps the majority of Americans unemployed, or underemployed and struggling just to survive, while the power elite continues to concentrate wealth in the hands of a few, and allow large corporations to pretty much run the world as multinational corporations.

It is truly sad how race has to be inserted into every political conversation these days. While there are valid concerns about corporate power and the growing splendor America’s plutocracy is living in, it’s best to start using more accurate arguments. While America’s working class suffers thanks to fiat money, regulations, and horrific lockdowns, bringing racial discussions into the equation does nothing to build a productive conversation and identify better solutions to our problems.

If anything, the woke crowd’s obsession with race plays into the ruling class’s hands, in that they want a divided workforce that they can easily control. More importantly, such divisions will prevent the formation of a coherent anti-oligarch movement that is capable of mounting a successful campaign against the parasitic ruling class.

All told, the economic ills America is currently facing cuts across racial lines, which requires liberty conservatives to hammer this point home and talk about major issues such as central banking and draconian lockdowns instead.

The Squad will ultimately need to be dealt with, and the way to do so is by rejecting their wacky views and pivoting the conversation towards topics that really matter.  By doing so, people will see through the lunacy of woke politics and be able to shift their gaze on issues and solutions that actually matter.
