Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) is standing boldly against the national security state on behalf of heroic whistle-blower Julian Assange, who is being extradited to the United States to stand trial on charges related to computer hacking.
Gabbard faced off with corporate media hacks on CNN and MSNBC yesterday after Assange was dragged out of the UK embassy after being sold out by Ecuadorean authorities.
Assange Arrest: The message is clear. To journalists and all Americans, if you try to take away our power, you will pay a high price. pic.twitter.com/tEgVt6t6Tm

The purpose of arresting #JulianAssange is to send a message to the people, especially journalists, to be quiet and don’t get out of line. If we, the people, allow the government to control us through fear, we are no longer free, we are no longer America. pic.twitter.com/2sedynREP9

Meanwhile, Republicans who claim to support the Constitution are hammering Julian Assange for helping expose war crimes and other corrupt acts committed by public and private officials – actions that are clearly covered under the 1st Amendment.
This arrest is good news for freedom-loving people. Julian Assange has long been a wicked tool of Vladimir Putin and the Russian intelligence services. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.https://t.co/LJAQeKhrj6 https://t.co/LQpoOoTv1y

I’m glad to see the wheels of justice are finally turning when it comes to Julian Assange.
In my book, he has NEVER been a hero.
His actions – releasing classified information – put our troops at risk and jeopardized the lives of those who helped us in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning endangered the lives of American troops in a time of war. Since Assange is used to living inside, I’m sure he’ll be prepared for federal prison. I commend Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Attorney General Bill Barr, and the president for working with the governments of the United Kingdom and Ecuador to bring Assange to justice,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said in a press release.
Even the supposed liberty-loving Republicans have been silent about Assange’s capture, leaving Gabbard all alone in fighting for digital freedom against the Orwellian super-state.
The arrest of #JulianAssange is meant to send a message to all Americans and journalists: be quiet, behave, toe the line. Or you will pay the price.

In addition, Gabbard is leading on other issues that are important to liberty conservatives such as preventing interventions in Iran and Yemen

Congress passed legislation to end US support of Saudi genocidal war in Yemen that has killed thousands, caused famine, & cholera epidemic. The bill is on Trump’s desk awaiting signature or veto. Gabbard is currently polling in the single digits and considered a long shot to win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020. But if Republicans continue to violate their oath to the Constitution on whistle-blowers and foreign wars, she could build upon her rabid cult following and make a serious impact – similar to what Ron Paul accomplished with his Republican presidential runs in 2008 and 2012.
