2A Assault: Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried Suspends the Concealed Carry Permits of 7 More Law-Abiding Citizen

The Left makes no bones about its desire to destroy freedom.

Nikki Fried, Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture recently suspended the concealed weapons licenses of 7 individuals who participated in the January 6 storming of the Capitol.

With these concealed carry permit suspensions going into effect, Fried has been responsible for suspending 35 concealed carry permits since the January 6 storming of the Capitol.

The suspensions were announced on April 29, 2022.

In July, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) suspended 22 licenses. Similarly, the FDACS suspended  the licenses of 6 additional individuals in October

The FDACS’s Division of Licensing is in charge of running Florida’s concealed weapon licensing program. Per Florida law, the FDACS has to carry out the suspension of permits for individuals  who received felony charges and similar offenses that lead to permit disqualification.

Since she was elected in 2018, Fried has been the only Democrat to win a statewide seat in the Sunshine State.

Fried has used her role to be a thorn in the side of Republicans in the state, especially Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Her move to suspend the licenses of nearly three dozen individuals goes to show the lengths the Left will go to deprive lawful citizens of their right to bear arms.

Politics in the US is heading to its most Schmittian form, where the friend enemy distinction reigns supreme.

The Left is very clear in its intentions and actions involving the use of state power to see its tyrannical agenda through. It has labeled the populist Right as its main enemy and does everything possible to hurt right wing constituencies wherever they can.

The Right must be willing to fight back and kneecap the Left. On top of that, the liberty conservatives should be passing legislation that enhances freedom and reduces the size of state involvement over activities that constitute traditional freedoms i.e, the Second Amendment.

Talk is cheap. Legislative action is a must in these trying times.
