Was the PC Mob Successful in Getting One of Peter Schiff’s Show Sponsors to Back Out?

Was Peter Schiff a recent victim of cancel culture?

While Schiff is known for his contrarian views on economics, he has delved into other topics regarding American politics. Schiff is a known right-winger, who is not afraid to stir the pot. He has recently criticized the coverage of the Derek Chauvin trial and the mob mentality that played a very strong role in the jury’s decision to hand him down a second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter conviction in his role with regards to the death of George Floyd.

After talking about the death of George Floyd and refuting many of the corporate media’s false narratives surrounding it, Schiff eventually received major pushback. Schiff tweeted on April 26, 2021, “Because I expressed the opinion that any American accused of a crime deserves a fair trial, and that no American should be put in prison unless the government can prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, the mob pressured one of my sponsors into dropping its support of my podcast.”

Although Schiff never publicly revealed which sponsor he lost, it is no surprise in 2021 that businesses would capitulate to outside pressure. This is the era of woke capital after all.

Although he never publicly revealed which sponsor he lost, it is no surprise in 2021 that businesses would capitulate to outside pressure. This is the era of woke capital after all. Many of these businesses are scared to tick off woke mobs, and some may be headed by woke executives. Indeed, woke capital does involve a degree of “divide and conquer” and diversion, where businesses promote diversity to destroy any kind of worker solidarity and divert attention away from questionable business practices.  So unscrupulous businesses may go out of their way to virtue signal for leftist causes with the intent of shifting the focus away from their pernicious activities.

There many complex layers to this as well. Many of these businesses are scared to tick off woke mobs, and some may be led by executives who genuinely believe in aspects of the woke ideology. We’re dealing with a totally different America here, where the culture is radically transforming in a way that would shock Americans all the way from the founding of the country up until the Gilded Age.

Schiff’s present case shows the absolute insanity present in American culture and luridly demonstrates what happens when people become enthralled by delusional ideologies. In times of massive polarization, we must know who are our friends and who are our enemies, and only do business with people and institutions who uphold our values.

Approaching the current socio-political dilemma in an atomistic manner is a recipe for disaster. For those who support Schiff and his message, they should subscribe to his YouTube channel and his show website Schiff Radio. The latter should definitely be subscribed to given how zealous Big Tech has become with regards to censorship.
