Thomas Massie Exposes Biden Administration’s Latest Gun Grab

Gun Control Inc. finds every way possible to undermine the right to bear arms in America. Because the anti-gun Left has been unable to pass their gun control schemes through traditional legislative means, they are now looking towards the bureaucracy and even the Executive Branch to see their agenda through.

One way they’re doing so is by going after so-called “ghost guns”, which are effectively homemade firearms. Such firearms have been built by millions of Americans for time immemorial. There’s nothing particularly shocking about this activity. However, the anti-gun Left wants to capitalize on attacking 3D printable technologies that facilitates higher levels of homemade firearms creation.

There’s nothing inherently criminal about creating a homemade firearm. That said, the Left wants to continue its anti-gun crusade at all costs and it views “ghost guns” as a juicy target.

On April 11, 2022, the Biden administration is expected to release a new rule that will regulate “ghost guns.”

This bothered Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie, who tweeted on April 10 that “The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to prevent you from making your own firearm. This a fact that has been recognized for 200+ years. Also, Article 1, Section 1 (literally the first operative sentence in the Constitution) says Congress makes law, not POTUS!”

Gun Owners of America agreed with Massie’s thoughts on this new Biden rule.  It tweeted, .”@RepThomasMassie is spot on – Biden’s proposal to create a comprehensive national gun registry and end the online sale of gun parts without the passage of a new law exemplifies his disregard for the Second Amendment.”

Some of the biggest threats to the Second Amendment come from the unelected bureaucracy and arbitrary actions from the Executive Branch, which act in an inherently anti-democratic manner. Massie should be given props in preemptively smoking out this gun grab.

Nevertheless, liberty conservatives should push the envelope and start acting firmly at the state level by pushing for nullification measures that put states in the position to ignore all gun control laws,  especially regulations on “ghosts guns”, implemented at the federal level.

These days it’s not enough to just play defense.
