While everyone is losing their minds about the conflict in Ukraine, very few people are talking about the Wuhan virus policies that are still in place in certain venues in America.
Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie is not one of them.
As of late, he has been working overtime to roll back the draconian Wuhan virus policies the biosecurity state has imposed on millions of Americans.Earlier this month, Massie led a group of conservative compatriots in the House to repeal a federal mandate obligating passengers to wear masks on airplanes. The lawsuit is directed against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and has 16 other Republican members of the House helping Massie turn up the legal heat.
“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not have the legal authority to force people traveling on commercial airlines to wear masks,” declared Massie in a statement. “Congress never passed a law requiring masks on commercial flights. This lawsuit targets the faceless bureaucrats who are behind the CDC’s unscientific regulation so that this illegal mask mandate can be brought to a permanent end.”
Massie reiterated this point in a tweet he posted on May 20, 2022:
There is no federal law that requires passengers to wear masks on airplanes.
Article I, Section 1 vests all legislative powers in Congress, which means the Executive and Judicial branches cannot usurp lawmaking authority, nor can Congress delegate lawmaking authority to them.
It is pretty repulsive how Wuhan virus related tyranny has largely been overlooked in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. That’s the thing about foreign policy interventionism: It’s a great way to divert attention away from pressing domestic affairs and focus on invented problems and boogiemen abroad.
Massie is one of the select politicians who sees through these ruses and is constantly advocating for limited government no matter the circumstances. Hopefully, Republicans can break out of their pro-war trance and start focusing 100% of their energy on domestic affairs.
