Gun Owners of America Supports Congressman Michael Cloud‘s Efforts to Protect Second Amendment Rights During National Emergencies

No compromise Second Amendment organization Gun Owners of American (GOA) supported Texas Congressman Michael Cloud’s bill, H.R. 1534, which safeguards Americans’ right to bear arms from potential gun control measures coming from an anti-Second Amendment administration or government agencies as the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Aidan Johnston, GOA’s Director of Federal Affairs, declared “Representative Cloud’s legislation would provide a meaningful update to the federal law, protecting gun owners from President Joe Biden’s and Department of Health and Human Service’s nominee Xavier Becerra’s impending anti-gun agenda.”

In effect, this bill keeps the Executive Branch from exercising anti-gun power grabs during a national emergency or major disaster. Furthemore, it kneecaps bureaucrats in agencies like the HHS and prevents them from exercising arbitrary powers during the aforementioned circumstances.

“Gun Owners of America thanks Representative Michael Cloud for introducing this legislation which could prove critical for gun owners under rogue anti-gun administrations,” declared Johnston.

Undoubtedly, this bill won’t pass due to the partisan makeup of Congress at the moment. However, it’s a great way to raise awareness and get gun owners activated.

Anti-gun forces are already moving as we speak, so it pays to start assembling pro-Second Amendment troops and prepare them for the battles to come in 2022 and 2024.
