Here’s How Thomas Massie Demonstrates that Liberals are Rootless Cosmopolitans

America has reached a post-national phase of its history where large portions of its electorate don’t really care for preserving the Historic American Nation.

Most either view the United States as a fundamentally racist nation or just a shopping mall. As a result, this part of the population is more receptive to foreign policy adventures and open borders – two policies that work against the interests of the American population.

On the former point, we’re seeing how large swathes of the population are not only expressing their solidarity with Ukraine but calling for the US to get involved on its side – directly or indirectly – to deal Russia a massive blow and humiliate it on the world stage.

Whatever one thinks about Vladimir Putin’s Russia, it does not pose an existential threat to America. Therefore, the US should not get involved. However, there is a loud minority in Washington who wants the US to sleepwalk into a conflict with the Russian Bear, nuclear conflict be damned.

There’s a clear class divide among those who desire this conflict with Russia. The professional managerial classes aka the laptop classes who live in major urban centers are among the most vociferous proponents of this conflict. And they demonstrate it with the Ukrainian flags in their Twitter profiles. This is easy to do when one does not have to go on the frontlines and bleed for their country like many Middle Americans.

But when it comes to demonstrating genuine signs of patriotism or standing up for the Historic American Nation, most of these people pull a Houdini act.

Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie noted this on Twitter. In a post he made on April 19, 2022, Massie stated “Most liberals with a ***Ukrainian flag symbol*** in their profile wouldn’t be caught dead with a ***American flag symbol*** in their profile.

As divisive as this observation may sound, the Kentucky Congressman is on to something here. The majority of liberals are rootless cosmopolitans that are more concerned about calling America’s founding stock racist, trashing the white working class, and expressing solidarity with foreigners.

Very few politicians actually stand up for Americans and pursue policies that advance their interests. Massie is a solid immigration patriot, a strong voice for foreign policy restraint, and zealous proponent of the Second Amendment — all which show his commitment to Middle Americans.

Liberals, neoconservatives, and other individuals who believe in permutations of multiculturalism obviously hate the likes of Massie. But that’s just a sign that he’s doing the right thing.
