John Bolton, Marco Rubio Caught Pushing Fake News on Venezuela to Push for War

President Donald Trump hired disgraced neocons John Bolton and Elliott Abrams and put them in charge of his Venezeula policy, and they are well on their way to repeating some of the worst foreign policy blunders of the 1980s.

A war propaganda scheme designed to gin up enmity against the crumbling socialist regime of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro has recently fallen apart after video footage uncovered it was all a lie.

The New York Times uncovered the shocking video that exposed a false-flag war propaganda effort against the Venezuelan government:

“Unpublished footage obtained by The New York Times and previously released tapes — including footage released by the Colombian government, which has blamed Mr. Maduro for the fire — allowed for a reconstruction of the incident. It suggests that a Molotov cocktail thrown by an antigovernment protester was the most likely trigger for the blaze.

At one point, a homemade bomb made from a bottle is hurled toward the police, who were blocking a bridge connecting Colombia and Venezuela to prevent the aid trucks from getting through.

But the rag used to light the Molotov cocktail separates from the bottle, flying toward the aid truck instead.

Half a minute later, that truck is in flames.

The same protester can be seen 20 minutes earlier, in a different video, hitting another truck with a Molotov cocktail, without setting it on fire.”

In their desperate rush for war and regime change, many Republican politicians and administration officials pushed this fake news and destroyed their credibility heading into 2020.

Even Vice President Mike Pence made a total fool of himself by pushing the fake news and joining the blind push for war in Venezuela.

Maduro’s regime hinges upon Venezuelans believing that there is an outside conspiracy pushed by US imperialists to push his ouster.

By openly meddling in Venezuela, neocon hacks like Bolton and Abrams play right into Maduro’s trap and help him rally support in his corner. Their hijinx could strengthen the Maduro regime or create blowback that will ultimately result in another leftist tyrant taking his place. Trump needs to fire Abrams and Bolton before even more damage is done.
