Thanks to public policy, there’s going to be a surge of migrants flooding the United States border.
On March 30, 2022, the Biden administration warned about another surge of migrants crossing the US border after its decision to scrap Title 42 restrictions at the southern border.
“We have every expectation that when the CDC ultimately decides it’s appropriate to lift Title 42, there will be an influx of people to the border,” White House communications director Kate Bedingfield announced during a daily press briefing before reporters.
According to previous reports from Breitbart News, Biden officials are projecting that over 170,000 migrants will enter the US once Title 42 is lifted.
Bedingfield defended the Biden administration’s move to rescind Title 42 protections by asserting that it is a medical and public health decision that the Centers for Disease Control is making, not immigration or national security functionaries.
Per a report by Charlie Spiering of Breitbart News, the communications director did not confirm nor deny various reports speculating that Title 42 would be rescinded towards the end of May.
“Of course we are planning for multiple contingencies,” she stated.
Title 42 restrictions empower immigration officials to deport border crossers back to their home countries for public health reasons, which the previous Trump administration used throughout the Wuhan virus pandemic.
Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert heavily criticized the Biden administration’s move. In a tweet she posted on May 30, 2022, Boebert declared, “Lifting Title 42 will mean that there are NO LIMITS WHATSOEVER at our Southern Border.
The sovereignty of our country is already basically gone, but this is going to send illegal immigration to heights we can’t even fathom.”

One aspect that’s not discussed about immigration is the public health angle. Forget the Wuhan virus, many migrants from Third World countries with dilapidated health infrastructures bring medieval diseases with them.A resurgence of diseases that have long been eliminated in modern, Western countries is just one of the many perils of mass migration.
Liberty conservatives would be wise to stress this facet of mass migration’s nasty consequences. It’s one way to win over voters who are legitimately concerned with public health issues.
