Check Out the New Pro-Liberty Initiative that Vows to Create a Pro-Liberty State by 2026

Will liberty conservatives be able to create a pro-liberty state by the end of the 2020s?

The newly formed Liberty State Project aims to do just that.

Nick Freitas, the Virginia House Delegate for District 30, announced the launch of this political project on March 23, 2022. He tweeted, “BREAKING: The Liberty State project is officially launching. If you are tired of radical leftists and corrupt RINO insiders… you need to check out this video. The Liberty State Project is how we go on offense to save America.”

The project’s goal is simple. By 2026, it’s going to elect a pro-liberty governor and 25% of a legislature in order to create a de facto “liberty state.”

This state would have some of the lowest taxes in the country, a light regulatory load, and “genuine educational freedom.” In addition, said liberty state would be standing up to COVID hysteria and would always side with liberty.

Cultural and political engagement at the state level is a major aim of this initiative. The CEO of Liberty State Project Cliff Maloney outlined several steps to realize this vision. This consists of:

  1. Raising the funds necessary to win and create a liberty state
  2. Running a citizen legislator pledge program
  3. Endorsing viable and principled legislative candidates that have what it takes to win their respective races
  4. Hosting liberty state project candidate training academies to build a pipeline of future leaders
  5. Develop an in-state scorecard system to expose the radical Left and weak, spineless Republicans in Name Only (RINOS)

Liberty conservatives are recognizing that the biggest political battles are at the state and local level. This is where people can have an impact on changing public policy while also building a robust farm team of legislators. The latter will play a crucial role in creating a tight network of politicians and interest groups that will allow liberty conservatives to move on to bigger state battles and even make inroads at the federal level.

Without a doubt, the Liberty State Project is an initiative to look out for in the next year.
