PA Combat Veteran Teddy Daniels Receives Congressional Endorsement From Pro-Gun Group

Combat veteran Teddy Daniels is running as a Republican to unseat incumbent Rep. Matt Cartwright in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District, and he has a top pro-gun group endorsing his nascent campaign.

Daniels has received an official endorsement from the National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) PAC. NAGR has led the way nationwide for Constitutional Carry laws that allow concealed carry without a permit. They are putting their ful weight behind Daniels’ candidacy.

“The National Association for Gun Rights PAC is proud to endorse Teddy Daniels for the U.S. House representing District 8 in Pennsylvania. At a time when the Second Amendment is under assault by anti-gun politicians in both parties, it’s encouraging to see a candidate make protecting the right to bear arms a centerpiece of his campaign,” NAGR PAC announced.

Daniels lists his bona fides “as an avid sportsman, shooter, former Police Officer and retired Soldier” to back up his firm stance in favor of gun rights and the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

“I fully support your constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Criminals will not be stopped by more laws. I will fight to stop gun-grabbing legislation that would take away your constitutional rights,” Daniels says on his official campaign website.

Daniels is set to announce $118,000 raised on his FEC report for 2019, with an impressive $64,000 cash on hand. These impressive fundraising numbers show he is a serious contender for the Congressional seat.

Daniels, a veteran of the war on Afghanistan who received a Purple Heart for his bravery while in battle, has also received endorsements from Veterans for Trump, Tea Party Nation, FreedomWorks, Northeast PA Women for Trump, Steven Willeford, and Luzerne County Councilman Walter Griffith.

“Teddy Daniels is a true conservative outsider. Daniels will work to advance President Trump’s agenda in Washington and help lower healthcare costs through competition and deregulation,” said Noah Wall, the executive director of FreedomWorks for America.

“Daniels has also committed to voting to enact much needed congressional term limits to drain the swamp of self-interested career politicians. FreedomWorks for America looks forward to supporting a steadfast conservative, Teddy Daniels,” Wall added.

“As a combat warrior of the Persian Gulf War era, I got to say that I am stepping forward for Teddy Daniels in Pennsylvania’s 8th DIstrict. That’s a man who gets it. He understands our community. He understands you the veteran, and he understands our President, and he’s stood with him – as I have – since 2015,” said Josh Macias, director for the Vets For Trump.

“I want to encourage you, vets for Trump, to know Teddy Daniels as we fully endorse him in our national campaign,” Macias added.

Daniels has four other challengers in the Republican Party primary that is scheduled to take place on April 28 for the 8th district Congressional nomination in Pennsylvania.
