POLL: 2/3 Swing Voters Are Against the Biden Administration’s Reparation Payouts to Illegal Aliens

The majority of swing voters in America are against a plan that the Biden administration is pushing to give $450,000 in payments to each illegal alien who crossed the border and were subjected to the Trump administration’s  “Zero Tolerance” policy.

According to John Binder of Breitbart News, Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Health and Human Services (HHS) are in the process of reaching a legal settlement with several border crossers represented by the ACLU. These illegal aliens claim to have suffered trauma as a result of the Trump administration’s  Zero Tolerance policy.

In this settlement, attorneys connected to the DOJ, DHS, and HHS are entertaining a plan that would grant each border crosser roughly $450,000 and family units about $1 million. In total, these payments would amount to $1 billion.

According to a Rasmussen Reports survey, 67% of swing voters, 79% of Republicans, 81% of conservatives, 51% of moderates, and 57% of all likely voters are against making payments to illegal alien border crossers. Less than 20% of swing voters said they supported payouts.

Democrats, on the other hand, are far more supportive of paying reparations to illegal alien border crossers. 45% of Democrats believe border crossers should receive sums of $50,000 to more than $200,000 in reparations payments for the Zero Tolerance policy. Only 30% of Democrats said they oppose these payments.

.In addition, likely voters were asked if illegal aliens should be able to press lawsuits against the federal government. Overall 2 out of 3 likely voters, which includes 7 out of 10 voters, responded in the negative. Only 17% of likely voters believe illegal aliens have a right to sue the federal government.

It’s clear as day that reparations payments to illegal aliens are incredibly unpopular among Americans, just like mass migration. With states in the Midwest becoming more competitive thanks to the new realignment of American politics, immigration is one of the few issues that can be used to consolidate Republican’s gains in those areas.

Immigration restriction is a slam dunk populist issue that any right-winger worth his salt should run on. National populists should ignore GOP strategists and run on strong immigration patriot platforms.
