Rand Paul is Against Establishing a “No-Fly” Zone in Ukraine

Is Rand Paul the only voice of sanity in the U.S. Senate when it comes to issues of war and peace?

While armchair foreign policy pundits are conjuring up ideas to get the US into World War III,  there are a few voices on the Right who are calling for restraint.

Ned Ryun, the CEO of American Majority, reminded all of these people of what their deluded interventionist fantasies would look like in real time.

On March 16, 2022, Ryun tweeted, “‘Let’s enforce a no fly zone against a nation with 6,300 nukes!’ Said no intelligent person ever.

According to figures from the Federation of American Scientists, Russia has approximately 5,977 nuclear warheads. Russia is no Iraq, Afghanistan, or Libya.

Paul responded to Ryun on March 21 in a tweet quote “Say no to war. Say no to ‘no fly zones.’”

A no-fly zone would have U.S., NATO, or allied fighter aircraft shoot down Russian military aircrafts over Ukraine. This would result in an out-of-control escalation of events and put the world closer to World War III and nuclear conflict.

The Kentucky Senator is correct in shooting down the no-fly zone idea and calling for restraint. America cannot afford to get into a military adventure with a nuclear power.

The Russo-Ukrainian war is something for the Russian, Ukrainian, and broader European authorities to sort out.

America has no business getting involved in this conflict.
