Rand Paul Stands with President Trump at Kentucky Rally Against Phony Ukraine Whistleblower

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) stood with President Donald Trump on Monday evening at a rally in his home state of Kentucky.

Paul has emerged as Trump’s top ally on foreign affairs in Washington D.C., and he defended the President against attacks that he has committed an impeachment offense due to his correspondence with the Ukraine.

“President Trump has great courage. He faces down the fake media everyday, but Congress needs to step up and have equal courage to defend the President,” Paul said to a captive pro-MAGA audience.

“Hunter Biden made $50,000 a month. That’s the definition of corruption. We know that he got it only because of his family connections,” Paul explained. “We also now know the name of the whistleblower. The whistleblower needs to come forward as a material witness because he worked for Joe Biden at the same time Hunter Biden was getting money from corrupt oligarchs.”

“I say tonight to the media, do your job and print his name,” Paul added as the crowd roared in response.

Paul also called for Hunter Biden to be subpoenaed for his cronyist business dealings, so a real investigation can occur into Washington D.C. corruption aside from the parlor tricks of partisan and desperate Democrats.

“And I say this to my fellow colleagues in Congress, to every Republican in Washington, step up and subpoena Hunter Biden and subpoena the whistleblower,” Paul said.

Paul also wants Republicans to walk out and refuse to participate in the process if House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) refuses to do what’s proper to restore justice and the rule of law in America.

“And I say to my colleagues, if shifty Schiff will not let Hunter Biden come, and if he will not bring the whistleblower fore, every Republican in Congress should take a walk and say this is a farce,” Paul concluded.

The heart of Paul’s speech can be heard here:

While Paul stands with the President, supposed liberty advocate Rep. Justin Amash (I-MI) is siding with the Democrats and the CIA. He does not want transparency regarding the whistleblower, and voted in favor of the impeachment resolution last week.

Amash hit his former ally with a thinly-veiled shot in a tweet on Monday night:

Amash is begging Republicans, the party that he left unceremoniously and has denigrated frequently after leaving, to join his cheerleading for the deep state coup that is in progress against President Trump.

The impeachment fallout is showing what liberty-minded supporters are made of. It has put Sen. Paul, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), every member of the House Freedom Caucus, and pro-Trump Republicans on one side, and Rep. Amash, the vast majority of elected Democrats, and the federal bureaucracy on the other.
