Since Fox News fell out favor with many supporters of Donald Trump, due to its anti-Trump coverage after numerous cases of election irregularities took place in the aftermath, Newsmax has served as ostensive conservative alternative to the milquetoast Fox brand.
However, it seems that Newsmax may be going down the very same neocon route that characterizes Fox. On May 31, 2022, its Twitter account highlighted Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It tweeted, “Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy met with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv today.
Ruddy: “We oppose Putin’s aggression. We support @Ukraine.”

This news was met with instant backlash from the Twitter account of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity. It tweeted, “ Boycott Newsmax – who needs yet another warmongering BS spreader posing as objective media.”

Indeed, the entire corporate media ecosystem in the United States is monolithically pro-Atlanticist on the issue of the Russo-Ukrainian War. In this conflict, the US should maintain neutrality. It’s ultimately a border war, if not an act of Slav-on-Slav violence that should be of no concern to the US.
RPI is one of the few organizations out here pushing for a sane foreign policy.
In times when interventionism seems to be the monolithic consensus in the bobblehead media, dissenting opinions are more critical than ever.
As long as the RPI is up and running, there will always be some form of principled opposition to the warfare state.
