The Biden Administration Reveals New Plan to Encourage Migrants to Apply for Citizenship in an Effort to Expand the Electorate

The Biden administration is committed to transforming America through mass migration. A US Citizenship and Immigration Services official claims that the Biden administration aims to do so by embarking on an unprecedented venture to push eligible immigrants to apply for US citizenship.

This latest effort to effectively expand the electorate follows in the footsteps of President Joe Biden’s executive orders put forth in the early stages of his presidency that urged federal agencies to create “welcoming strategies that promote integration, inclusion, and citizenship.” According to a CNN report, Citizenship and Immigration Services, which is located within the Department of Homeland Security, released its strategy on July 23.

“The idea is to find a whole-of-government way to reach out to people who are able to naturalize,” the Citizenship and Immigration Services official stated. The official also called attention to how there are 9 million people in the US who have legal permanent resident status, who can now go through the process of applying for citizenship.

Priscilla Alvarez of CNN listed off the government agencies involved in promoting naturalization among legal migrants already in the US:

That includes, for example, holding naturalization ceremonies at national parks to raise awareness, partnering with the US Postal Service to display promotional posters at Postal Service facilities about becoming a US citizen, and engaging with the Department of Veterans Affairs and veteran service organizations to find ways to educate service members and veterans on citizenship, according to the strategy, titled ‘Interagency Strategy for Promoting Naturalization.

The Biden administration has taken a radical departure from his predecessor’s immigration nationalist policies. Throughout his presidency, Donald Trump made attempts to restrict legal immigration and even end birthright citizenship. The Trump administration even made changes to the naturalization exam that made it more difficult for migrants to attain citizenship. Trump’s inability to fully follow through with these measures was mainly the product of institutional inertia and a GOP congressional leadership that did not care much for immigration restriction when Republicans had solid majorities during the first two years of Trump being in office.

“USCIS remains committed to empowering immigrants to pursue citizenship along with the rights and opportunities that come with it,” USCIS acting Director Tracy Renaud declared in a statement to CNN. “There is no greater testament to the strength of America than our willingness to encourage others to join us as U.S. citizens as we work together to build a more perfect union.”

It’s time to call a spade. This is a clear strategy by a Democrat administration to expand the electorate. Indeed there are significant portions of the legal migrant population who have yet to receive citizenship. According to Pew Research, for example, 67% of lawful immigrants eligible to apply for American citizenship had filled out an application for citizenship and received citizenship by 2015. By contrast, among lawful Mexican immigrants who are eligible to apply for citizenship, only 42% of them filled out applications for and received U.S. citizenship by 2015. Mexican migrants cited language issues and costs as the principal barriers towards going through the citizenship application process.

For that reason, Democrats want to have all of their bases covered. The fact is that mass migration is Democrats’ key to monolithic political power in the long-term. The numbers are indisputable.

One can expect further calls to get more legal migrants to naturalize, on top of other schemes that get illegal aliens to vote. Ultimately, Democrats know that the legacy American populace has limits when it comes to supporting leftist lunacy.

In turn, Democrats will have to import a new electorate to see their unholy agenda through. Liberty conservatives must grasp this and expose it immediately. Then they must propose the most sensible way of scuttling Democrats’s electoral fantasies: Enacting an immigration moratorium.
