The Ron Paul Liberty Report Highlights How Diplomatic Efforts to End the Russo-Ukrainian Conflict are Destined to Fail

It cannot be overstated how incompetent and depraved America’s ruling class is. In all facets of American policy making, institutional rot is the norm.

Foreign policy has not been exempt from this. In the current Russo-Ukrainian conflict, the ruling class’ performance has been poor to say the least.

A conflict that the US should have stayed out of from the start, the Russo-Ukrainian conflict has now morphed into a veritable quagmire.

In the April 14th episode of The Ron Paul Liberty Report titled “Diplomacy…Or Madness? US Considers Sending Biden Or VP Harris To Ukraine,” former Congressman Ron Paul argued that the Biden-Harris regime is “one of the poorest teams we’ve ever had.”

During this discussion, the former congressman and his partner Daniel McAdams talked about a prospective plan involving President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala heading to Kiev to support the regime of Volodymyr Zelensky. Paul is of the belief that this kind of visit “will do more harm.”

McAdams pointed to recent polls which showed Biden’s approval rating languishing. In light of Biden’s precipitously declining approval ratings, the Biden-Harris regime thinks it can score a quick political win by heading over to Ukraine.

McAdams raised a good point that Biden or any other high-ranking officials aren’t going to travel to Kiev “without a serious military contingent” that accompanies them. Such a visit could be an escalatory action that would accelerate further destabilization.

Let’s not get started with US military aid sent to Ukraine. On April 14, the US government sent another $800 million in military aid to Ukraine. The $800 million in military aid sent to Ukraine isn’t some random disbursement of money, however. As McAdams noted, it’s “corporate welfare for arms manufacturers” as copious amounts of artillery rounds, radars, switchblade kamikaze drones, and javelin missiles are sent to Ukraine in an effort to turn it into another Afghanistan quagmire for Russia. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Biden regime has sent $2.6 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

Obviously, there are limits to the US’s foreign policy machinations.

Paul noted that “runaway inflation” usually “tones down the aggressiveness of all empires.” In sum, the US is reaching the predictable phase of imperial overstretch.

The US is clearly going through a notable decline, as evidenced by the people it has on its foreign policy team and other branches of the US government. Kamala Harris is an affirmative pick for Vice President that could never match any of her predecessors during the Cold War, who were generally hard-nosed realists. In an ideal world, the US would at least have realists like John Mearsheimer occupying important foreign policy positions in the US.

Alas, we don’t live in such a rational environment. It’s up for liberty conservatives to change the current political nightmare engulfing America and push for a more restrained foreign policy while sorting out domestic affairs. Because let’s face it, things are only going to get much worse if we don’t reverse course.
