Walmart is On Woke Time

For those who think wokism is just some passing fad, look no further to the case of Walmart’s training procedures.

According to a report by the New York Post, Walmart has trained over 1,000 employees in critical race theory. Under these trainings,  Walmart employees were taught to denounce the United States as a “white-supremacy system”  and staffers were instructed to accept their “guilt and shame” and stop thinking “white is right.”

The retail titan told the New York Post on October 15 that it has been working alongside Racial Equity Institute. REI is a North Carolina organization tasked with “creating racially equitable organizations.”

Walmart said it has “used the well-known REI program for a number of training sessions” starting in 2018 and “found these sessions to be thought-provoking and constructive.”

City Journal’s Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, claimed that a whistleblower at Walmart sent him a cache of internal documents demonstrating the training is shaped by critical race theory.

According to the leaked documents, Walmart staff members were segregated into “affinity groups” for the training due to the fact that “people of color and white people have their own work to do in understanding and addressing racism.”

Rufo noted that eight of Walmart’s nine leading executives are white. The top six made a total of $112 million in salary in 2019.

Chief Executive Officer Doug McMillon is spearheading the training. The whistleblower described McMillon as a “true believer”, who wants all Fortune 100 companies to embrace anti-white training.

Rufo claimed that the course is a mandatory prerequisite for executives and suggested material for store staff who earn hourly wages.

Walmart allegedly told The New York Post that “the program was designed for corporate officers and salaried managers, not frontline hourly associates.”

“Since 2018, the training sessions have been attended by more than 1,000 Walmart leaders, including 395 officers,” a Walmart representative said.

“While the company does not agree with all of the views that were presented, we have found these sessions to be thought-provoking and constructive,” a Walmart spokesperson remarked.

America’s premier corporate institutions have been thoroughly corrupted.

At this juncture, liberty conservatives should get serious about boycotting institutions that partake in woke practices. The only way these institutions will change their behavior is when significant chunks of the right wing population deprive them of their revenue.

A strong message has to be sent to these institutions.
