Outgoing Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger has fully transitioned into a DC Swamp creature now that he is becoming receptive to an AR-15 ban. Kinzinger’s statement came in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas massacre, where a gunman killed 19 schoolchildren and 2 teachers.
In an appearance on State of the Union with Dana Bash on May 29, 2022, Kinzinger said that he’s receptive to the idea of supporting a federal prohibition on AR-15 rifles. He revealed that his position had changed after the Uvalde shooting.
Kinzinger stated, “Look, I have opposed a ban [on AR-15s], you know, fairly recently. I think I’m open to a ban now. It’s going to depend on what it looks like because there’s a lot of nuances on what constitutes, you know, certain things.”
In response to Kinzger’s anti-gun remarks, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz stated, “Fully transitioned.”

Kinzinger’s latest anti-Second Amendment transition is to be expected. Over the past two to three years he has turned into an unhinged Never Trump Swamp creature. Back in 2021, Kinzinger voted for universal background checks, showing right off the jump that he’s amenable to passing civilian disarmament schemes.
In addition, Kinzinger was one of the few turncoat Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump after the January 6 storming of the Capitol. Since the Russo-Ukrainian War broke out, Kinzinger has been one of the most unhinged hawks against Russia.
Overall, Kinzinger is one of the worst congressmen in office. Thankfully, Americans will no longer have to put up with him now that he’s no longer running for re-election.
Getting rid of the likes of Adam Kinzinger is one of the first steps liberty conservatives must make in order to purge the party of neoconservative influence.
