Rep. Thomas Massie Grills Attorney General Merrick Garland on Federal Involvement in Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol Riot

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday over federal involvement in the Jan. 6 riot in the U.S. Capitol.

Garland refused to answer Massie’s questions about whether or not federal agents were embedded in the protest and worked to stir up the crowd and make it violent.

“There’s a concern that there were agents of the government, who were assets of the government, present on Jan. 5 and Jan. 6 during the protest,” Massie told Garland, presenting evidence of an agent provocateur ginning up a crowd on the day before the infamous rally.

“As far as we can determine, the individual who was saying ‘he’ll probably go to jail,’ ‘he’ll probably be arrested,’ that…they need to go into the Capitol the next day, is then the next day directing people to the Capitol, and as far as we could find, this individual has not been charged with anything,” Massie said.

“You said this is one of the most sweeping investigations in history. Have you seen that video or those frames from that video?” Massie asked Garland.

“As I said at the outset, one of the norms from the Justice Department is to not comment on pending investigations, particularly not to comment about particular scenes or particular individuals,” Garland responded.

“I was hoping today to give you an opportunity to put the rest the concerns that people have that there were federal agents or assets of the federal government present on Jan. 5 or Jan. 6. Can you tell us without talking about particular incidents or particular videos how many agents or assets of the federal government were present on Jan. 6, whether they agitated to go into the Capitol, and if any of them did?” Massie asked.

“So, I’m not going to violate this norm of the rule of law and comment on an investigation that is ongoing,” Garland responded, stuttering and stammering as he spit out his non-answer.

Liberty Conservative News has reported on how the feds have regularly colluded to perpetrate devious and illegal acts in order to crush their opposition:

Newly released transcripts from the House Intelligence Committee and documents pertaining to the FBI investigation of general Michael Flynn confirm in plain language that the intelligence agencies and politicians who pushed the hoax narrative of Trump-Russian collusion as a means to discredit the president were lying since the beginning.

Last week, the Justice Department dropped its criminal case against Michael Flynn, president Donald Trump’s initial national security adviser. Documents recently released related to the case, as well as 57 transcripts of closed-door testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, as covered thoroughly by Tucker Carlson, demonstrate astoundingly underhanded, dishonorable, and dishonest activity on the part of the FBI and many Democratic politicians, who ever since 2016 have been hyping up a narrative that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to be elected president.

The allegations against Trump and his campaign were many, and relentlessly pushed by the mainstream media and his political opponents. Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the presidency. Russia interfered in the election to swing it for Trump. Russia hacked the DNC email servers and probably voting machines. Donald Trump was a Manchurian candidate infiltrating America at the highest level while under the direct control of America’s geopolitical enemy.

Factually, this narrative was dealt a death blow in December 2019 with the release of the report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz. The American Conservative, in a comprehensive write-up, detailed its conclusions: that a vindictive and vehemently anti-Trump FBI, in cooperation with foreign intelligence services, unleashed an unprecedented campaign of espionage, surveillance, interference, and propaganda aimed at damaging Trump’s election chances and discrediting his presidency which, if legal, speaks volumes about the dystopian condition of the US political system.

The U.S. is in bad shape as the permanent bureaucracy in Washington D.C. exercises absolute power over the country and pushes to bring the war on terror in the homeland to be used against domestic patriots. Jan. 6 was unquestionably their Reichstag Fire event.
